Community Vision

This is the story of how Natasha found her voice after a traumatic brain injury left her nonverbal as a baby. Now, at 29, she uses various forms of Assistive Technology to communicate, and she aspires to help others with disabilities learn to speak for themselves.

Koby's family lived inside one bedroom of a four-bedroom home that they shared with 10 other extended family members. Like many Portland families who experience rising rents, doubling up with other family members or friends was the only way to make ends meet.

With expert advice, honest answers and experienced care, Providence medical oncologists and hematologists offer strong and steady support to patients during treatment and beyond.

SMART

The program concept is to pair an adult volunteer with children for weekly one-on-one reading sessions. Volunteers model the joy of reading while supporting the child’s efforts to read independently. The intention of SMART is to positively impact literacy outcomes by providing early reading support, access to books and community engagement to in an equitable and inclusive environment for everyone involved.

Portland Youth Builders

Portland YouthBuilders is a non-profit organization committed to providing long term support for low-income youth. Each year, we provide education, vocational training, and leadership development services for over 200 young people between the ages of 17 and 24 who have not completed high school and who face significant barriers to success.

Since our founding in 1933, Catholic Charities of Oregon has focused on partnering with members of the community who are under-served. We are also a member agency of Catholic Charities USA, one of the largest networks of social service providers in the country.

Clackamas Service Center (CSC) is a vibrant and inclusive “one-stop” community campus, offering families and individuals food and other resources for improved safety, health, and stability on their path toward self-sufficiency. We provide many services to support the local unhoused community, but most of our services are open to anyone who needs it, regardless of what county they reside in.
